The Chippewa boots are 17 inches in the vamp that is completely waterproof. The membrane on the boot features a Chip-A-Tex system that is breathable and locks water out of the boot but allows air to pass through. The Vibram outsole has traction that offers non slip on wet and dry surfaces.
