Hello everyone! My name is Juan Pablo and I joined the South Texas Tack team in January of 2019. I live in the courtyard and am always available for a photo op. Fun fact I was RoundTop.com’s ninth most popular Instagram post in 2018. I’m a humble guy, but man did that make me proud. I love to see how excited little kids get with they see me. Then when they run over to have their picture taken, it just makes my day.
I’m a 1960-something model, unfortunately I don’t remember my exact birthday, originally from Amarillo, Texas. I stood proud outside of an Big Texan Steakhouse to help sell beef. Unlike those cows, telling you to eat more chicken, I say, “Eat what you want and support the ag community!”
Now I get to hang out at South Texas Tack, basking in the Texas sun. Some days are hotter than others, but I get to see the bluebonnets in the spring, Brahmans grazing in the pastures (The ears on the calves are my FAVE!), I tell the buyers, web team, and call center representatives good morning every day.
Another thing that was amazing to experience, was being backstage when Jake Hooker and the Outsiders played a concert in the courtyard for Valentine’s in 2026. The weather wasn’t perfect, but man was that a great time! Watching everyone singing along and spinning around on the dance floor.
A soft spot for me are the Adam’s Angels Christmas parties. We don’t always have them here at the store, but when we do. I have so much fun with the kids. Whether it is roasting marshmallows and making smore’s or having it snow in the courtyard, just so they can play in it. (P.s. WILDEST snowball fight I have ever seen! Those kids have some arms on them).
